My university is not always on top of things ro timely with information. I spent a week before the school year started trying to get information about my placement for my student teaching. Finally, after hounding multiple people I was able to find out where I had been placed. I was placed in a K-1 Autism success classroom in the community that I live in. I was paired with an amazing teacher who has been very welcoming and inclusive with me. She invited me to attend the schools staff development day and the Kindergarten orientation. I am so grateful for the opportunity to start the year off with these wonderful kiddos. All of the students are sweet as can be with a variety of different needs. I look forward to working with my advising teacher and learning all I can from her. I had a wonderful first week and can't wait to see these students grow this year.
