I had been considering a career change for several years but I was afraid to take the plunge and worried about the financial burden I knew it would create for my family. I started my journey to teaching with an information session at Cal State Channel Islands in August of 2018, too late to enroll officially I started with a single class and never turned back. I was officially accepted to the Teaching Credential program starting in January 2019. Getting back into the groove of college was a challenging one, having earned my first degree 15 years earlier. Motivated to do well and excited for this new chapter in my life I was able to complete my coursework and achieve my first 4.0 GPA! Now on to student teaching...
